| Retaining front facades |
| To retain the architectural integrity of a city, specifically
regarding older historic buildings, the front facade of the
building is retained while the rest of the building is
demolished. This is achieved by placing steel girders in
position to strengthen and stabilise the facade during
demolition and the new building phase. |
 |
| Removal of steel structures |
| The removal of steel structures is dangerous and difficult work.
Often the steel has to be cut and removed in sections without
weakening the main structure, until sufficient material has been
removed so that the main structure can be safely dismantled. |
